Wedding-related things we still need to do this week.
Ams:
- buy stamps for the rest of the invitations
- e-mail vendor list to co-ordinators
- find more "must have" shots
- call XYZ about favours
- rework the budget sheet
- update the mailing list sheet
- update the checklist sheet
- look for "wedding hair" pictures
- look for "wedding makeup" picture
Jack:
- call tuxedo place
- set up app. with DJ
- set up app. with officiant
Both (together)
- get wedding rings
- scout for photograph location

Jack and I had a pretty packed weekend full of wedding stuff. I thought we would be completely dead by the end but we're fine and feeling very accomplished. On Saturday we met up with our co-ordinator for the ceremony venue and finalized some details regarding our booking. My parents and sister came with us so they all got to check out the place for the first time. And since we were up there our photographer Sharon met up with us to check out the location and to discuss photography stuff. We got through a lot of details and we even got to see a sample of a picture book we will get with our package. I'm looking forward to how our pictures will turn out. After that we all headed home, fulfilled a BK craving that we had all been having for some time now and then Jack and I met with our reception decorators. We discussed a few more details, signed our contract with them and gave in our deposit. Overall a very successful day. (we came back home and played smash brothers with noops >=D)
Today Jack and I met up with my friend Mel and her sister Laura who will be making our wedding cake. We have a specific design in mind but we're not really sure what kind of flavour we want for the layers. Right now it's going to be a boring chocolate layer and a white sponge layer. We really don't know what else to get. =/
Anyway that is all for now. It's time for bed. Another week of work! We can't wait until next weekend. It will be the first one where I will actually relax. =D

Jack and I met with the decorators recommended to us by our banquet hall. The company is called Elan Cachet and we met with Antoinette and Michelle who were very impressive. We sat down with them and talked about what we had thought about so far for the design of our reception. They were really excited about our Chinese theme with the Indian food. We could tell that they were really passionate about their work and really wanted to do their best for their clients. Who wouldn't want to work with people like that?
We really wanted to meet with them to see what they could do for us and if we could work them into the budget. Well I am really keep on hiring them for more than what I had intially anticipated for. I really just wanted to hire some professionals to set up the banquet hall for us so that I didn't have to worry about family or friends botching it up (no offense family and friends!). But they offer really sweet deals to those who come to them through the banquet and we're thinking of also hiring them to oversee the entire day. I would really like a professional gopher so that I don't have to be stressed the entire time. Plus they are really friendly and very professional. I'm waiting to get the quote from them this week but I am most likely going to somehow work them into the budget.
