Hair Accessories Arrived

Sorry for the lack of blogging. I was busy with moving stuff, then I got sick, then we were unpacking & setting up the house. It's now Victoria Day weekend (yay!) and I'm at my parent's place for some wedidng-related appointments. Later today my MOH and I are going for my hair and makeup trial appointment. I'm supposed to go with my natural hair and no makeup. I haven't gone out like this in a while. My aggrivated allergies and asthma aren't helping either. I hope my runny nose and wheezing won't get in the way.

In other news I finally got to see the bridesmaids saris and the hair accessories I ordered. The saris are beautiful and I'm really happy with them. And to my excitement the headbands I ordered for the bridesmaids go with the saris beautifully. I ordered two headbands for myself - in white and ivory - because I didn't know which one would look better with my sari. The ivory looks better so I'm taking the stark white one for the trial appointment today so that I don't ruin the ivory one. I also received the hair pins I had blogged about previously. They're so georgeous! I'm so happy with them. If you are thinking of ordering headbands or hairpins, check out these two vendors. They're amazing!

May Schedule

As I mentioned previously, Jack and I are moving at the end of the week into a condo. We've been pretty busy with moving stuff, especially packing. We got a key to the place on Monday to move in this weekend since the property manager will be out of town for a week or two. I wanted to start cleaning the place before Friday (the day we planned to clean the place before moving in on Saturday) since we got access to the place early, but we found out that we would have to let our property manager know if we wanted to drop by so that he can tell the previous tenants since they technically still lease the place until Thursday. Poo to legalities. But we're lucky. Jack's parents and sister are going to help us clean on Friday and then we are having a bunch of people come to help us move on Saturday. We don't have that much stuff so we're hoping to be moved in in about 2-3 hours. We'll also be saving ourselves a few hundred by not going with a moving company. Hooray!

We also called Rogers yesterday and the cable person will come Sunday to install our internet. W00t! Can't live without internet. And we are getting our mail forwarded to our new address. Already updated my mailing address for my creditcard and then I have to update it on a couple of other things. Moving is so annoying. =/

After moving, I'm trying to jam in as much wedding stuff as we can into the month of May so that June will be a little more free and less stressful. So far I've booked our food taste testing, our cake taste testing, my makeup and hair trial appointment, and our engagement shoot into the May weekends. Hopefully I can shove more things in there. Jack and I also booked off a week before and after the wedding so that we can attend to wedding stuff. I'm really hoping this will go as smoothly as possible. =/

P.S. I woke up at 5:30 this morning because of my stupid asthma and couldn't go back to sleep!

Prayers For Ness

My cousin Ness, who is also my bridesmaid, is currently in a hospital in Seoul, South Korea. She teaches English there and also just enrolled into a seminary. She has been in some pain the past few days and was finally admitted to the hospital. She is going in for surgery early tomorrow morning Canadian time. Please pray for her surgery to go well and for her quick recovery. It's so hard to be so far away when things like this happen, but sometimes just a prayer can shatter those boundaries. Thank you.

Visit To Oakview Terrace

As I had mentioned previously, a couple of weekends ago Jack and I went to oakview Terrace (our ceremony location) with my family to finalize some details and to take a look at the grounds. Well we took some pictures while we were there and I thought maybe others could benefit from them. I don't know for what reason...maybe to decide what kind of shoes to wear. Anyway here they are.

Babies

I keep finding out that more and more people I know (around my age) have had or are having babies. The latest couple to be expecting is our friends Tony and Tracy. We went to their wedding back in September 2007. It doesn't even seem that long ago and now they're going to bring their first child into the world. Time goes by so fast. Congrats Tony and Tracy.

Man I need to lemon my elbows. =/

[edit] After viewing this site on Internet Explorer I have discovered that this crappy browser warps pictures. ARGH! Stupid inferior browser. If you're using IE, switch to firefox! This picture will look awesome in it! [/edit]
